Hailing from the Philippines, and an alumnus of the Centre for Culinary Arts in Manila, Migo Razon is an accomplished chef bringing an impressive breadth of experience to Miss Mi Melbourne.
His cooking ethos is simple yet balanced, “I’m always thinking about sweet, salty, sour and sometimes spicy elements when I create my menus. That level of balance that comes through in Southeast Asian cooking is always in the back on my mind.”
This ethos is clearly on display in this collaborative menu with Duncan Lu, promising a journey of flavour and not a single boring bite.
Duncan Lu is a first-generation Vietnamese-Australian chef whose passion is deeply rooted in the tradition of Vietnamese home cooking. Raised in a family of devoted cooks and chefs, Duncan grew up surrounded by vibrant flavours of his heritage. This upbringing shaped his belief in food as a powerful way to connect, communicate, and celebrate culture.
Duncan represented Team Vietnam on Channel 7’s Plate of Origin, where his bold flavours and heartfelt approach to cooking earned him runner-up honours and perfect 10s for his grand final main.
