Buzzing with energy, at the bar you’ll uncover Asian-inspired libations that unite spirits with spices, and fresh herbs with house-made syrups inspired by Asia.

The drinks are dazzling, and so is the art. Designed by local artist Steve Cross, the bar’s dramatic mural depicts a traditional Chinese opera performance, a vibrant celebration of food and culture.

Complemented by delectable Asian bar snacks, we invite you to begin – or end – your evening at Miss Mi.

Growing up on the Malaysian side of the island of Borneo, Asian cuisine is deeply rooted in Esca Khoo’s food philosophy. Beginning his hospitality journey as a humble kitchen hand in Hawker restaurants in Borneo, Khoo moved to Australia as a teenager to study and play rugby before turning to cooking, honing his craft across a broad range of food establishments – from cafe’s and casual dining facilities to Australia’s epitome of fine-dining restaurants including Noma Australia, Dinner by Heston, Longrain and Lûmé. For Khoo, Miss Mi is a vehicle to reimagine classic dishes and staple ingredients from the continent and explore regional specialties waiting to be discovered. Honouring traditional Asian techniques, ingredients and flavours whilst drawing on 15+ years’ experience in kitchens across Melbourne, Khoo brings dishes to life with home-made sauces, sambals and pickles that connect diners with his childhood in Borneo.
